Rise of The Warrior Painting

This painting is a deep psychological painting, debating on the existence of two worlds in which human existence takes place, an upper world of the spirit, love and harmony and a bottom world of fight, struggle, tension, which are basically allegories of the inner world of the heart or the soul and the inner world of the mind. My aim is for the viewer to have a shift in awareness of these two dimensions of existence, by visual understanding and thus to transcend from the bottom world to the upper world together with the imaginary warrior that is showcased in the middle of the painting. The upper world is the manifestation of the Divine that tries to penetrate with Its light the world of the mind. The painting communicates at various levels. At a visual level, the image of the females with the aura in shape of a heart, symbolizing the feminine energy in contrast with the heavy textured dark colored part from the bottom of the painting. At a texture level I use a mix of materials, glitter for the upper part of the artwork to express the brightness of this dimension and thick sandy structure gel as well as melted plastic to the bottom part of the painting to better illustrate the "weight" of the 3D world. Together with the triangle composition, that suggest stability and thus my inner hope for the natural emerging of consciousness, all these elements come to create a space of reflection of a way our lives are in the existence.
