Painting: Oil, Metal on Canvas.
This series of oil paintings have been inspired by the movement of the brush. I layer one color after another of quick brush strokes. I am very interested in moving the brush rapidly over the canvas creating layer after layer of color that when observed close up are all clearly visable creating a depth so intense that it takes your breath away. I thought I was finished and then made these new changes. I added more brush strokes of yellow ochre, alizarin crimson, indigo, and white, then I thought there was too much movement and it needed taming down so I scraped out the lines on the bottom using a pallet knife. I think it is finished. I don't like to varnish my paintings. I prefer to let the rawness of the painting visible at the end.
Note: if preferred painting can be shipped in crate adding 400 to price
