Contact us.Carlos Augusto Motta is a multifaceted Luso-Brazilian artist whose journey reflects a deep connection to art since youth. He began his career as an illustrator, later standing out as an Art Director across several companies. His bold approach led him into fashion, where he created innovative “Paper Sculptures” that gained media recognition. Graduating in Fine Arts in the late 1990s, he incorporated architecture into his artistic practice, further expanding his creative repertoire. In the early 2000s, he opened his first studio in Rio de Janeiro, transforming it with reclaimed materials and hosting permanent exhibitions. He now lives in Braga, Portugal.
A defining aspect of his work is his connection to nature and sustainability. He draws inspiration from organic materials such as moss, fungi, corroded minerals, and the natural world. His art invites viewers to see beauty in what is often overlooked, marked by innovation and environmental awareness.
