Rose Bouquet Painting

I am a self-taught artist. I started painting just over a year ago in acrylics with brushes and palette knives on stretched box canvasses although I do occasionally use watercolours for line and wash subjects. I enjoy painting my interpretation of flowers and water subjects as well as landscapes and cityscapes. Due to the stresses of an ongoing illness I find a certain freedom in painting which is very relaxing, so by recreating nature on canvas I can express myself freely through my art. I am not just inspired by all forms of nature but also by other artists and the obvious dedication they show in their work.
