"SNOUT OF A LIFELINE" Painting

I Have been fascinated by Abstract forms and styles of Paintings which defines itself as inclusive of surrealism.In India we believe in thousands of Gods and demi Gods and try to replicate them in art forms and paintings. I wanted to make something which is more universally accepted as a form of surrealism like nature which reminds us irrespective of caste creed,Beliefs or religion which are usually adopted when one follows a spiritual path in life. 'SNOUT OF A LIFELINE" is an attempt to bring out the essence and magnitude of "River Ganga" which originates from the Himalayan glaciers and is a lifeline for Indians not just giving us water but its believed, if we have a holy dip we will be evolved and free of sins. Its interesting to note how the mouth, where the glacier turns into a river form looks like "Cow faced" in reality for those who know it termed as "Gaumukhi".. but abstraction for the rest.Nature is not just amazing but holds mysticism which engulfs the feeling of reverence.
