I'm still working with the theme: REPURPOSED from the most recent group show I was in with this piece. How the negative space reads as much as where the image or letters are. Yohaku - is a space that has been consciously left empty. It represents a pause or a blank point. It implies a meaning in the absence of words or forms. The emptiness of a white space holds a profound beauty. I love how the very familiar and adored Take-Out container that makes so many people happy is portrayed here - yet empty. Is the 'text' even necessary?? I love this piece on so many levels
