About The Artwork

"Sakura" is a captivating watercolor painting that celebrates the enchanting beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom. Against a backdrop of cascading pink petals, reminiscent of a floral waterfall, a traditional Japanese-style building emerges, creating a harmonious blend of nature and architecture. The focal point of the painting is the mesmerizing cascade of cherry blossoms. The artist capture the ephemeral nature of these delicate flowers, evoking a sense of movement as they appear to pour from above like a gentle waterfall. The soft pink hues of the petals create a symphony of color, filling the composition with an ethereal glow. Amidst this floral spectacle, a traditional Japanese-style building stands as a testament to the harmonious relationship between nature and human creations. The artist's meticulous brushwork captures the architectural details, from the gently sloping roof to the intricate patterns of the building's facade. The structure exudes a sense of serenity and timeless beauty, complementing the delicate grace of the cherry blossoms. "Sakura" is a visual ode to the fleeting beauty and cultural significance of cherry blossoms in Japanese tradition. The painting evokes a sense of wonder and appreciation for the cycles of nature and the profound impact these delicate flowers have on our emotions and spirits.

Self-knowledge is what my art gives me. I've learned to enjoy the process, that's what I like most about watercolor. I work mainly in the wet technique, because that's how watercolor shows its maximum potential. The result is always unpredictable, because the watercolor does half of the work and I like that bit of uncertainty that I can't change. I complete the painting and the painting completes me. The granularity of the pigments, the undertones, the airiness - that's why I love watercolor. I really like to experiment and paint not only with traditional watercolor tools such as brushes, but also with bags, napkins, sponges, etc. I like to paint on large formats as I feel more free to do so. The main idea of my art is to give people an opportunity to understand themselves and their attitude by looking at familiar things, to discover simple things anew. I draw on free subject matter, it's more important for me to feel what I want to depict, whether it's an apple or a street in Italy. I'm interested in exploring color combinations and their effect on people in my work. I try to capture the essence of what is being portrayed without being too detailed, leaving the viewer free to imagine. I'm inspired by the space around me, the way nature and man live together.
