This painting titled "Second Coming" is inspired by the W.B. Yeats poem of the same title. After the U.S. election in 2016 I could not get Yeats' words out of my head..."Turning and turning in the widening gyre. The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world"...And this painting is the result. More than ever this painting resonates worldwide in these times.
