About The Artwork
This original seascape was created on impulse using my fingers and a palette knife. It's on a Paramount Professional Canvas. The dimensions are 24"x30"x 1-13/16". I've been exploring something quite different from my familiar color palette. The urge has been almost without hesitancy. I'm breaking from any restrictions or perimeters that I've placed on myself to not explore new things outside of my bold abstract expressionism painting style. Two other pieces were started on the same evening. This third piece was finished the first. My hope is that the viewer will see the painting as calming, serene, and meditative. I truly hope this piece installed in your home or office will have a calming effect where you live, work, and entertain. I generally paint using acrylic and varnish to coat and protect my paintings. A frame is NOT provided. This piece will be securely packaged and delivered in a box. Included will be a Certificate of Authenticity. It will be signed on the back and wired - ready to install. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
