About The Artwork
I was inspired to do this before my own shower one day, where I stood in front of my mirror with my top half way up. With Covid and depression always around, that day had felt particularly difficult and I wished for a moment that I could get rid of my mental health issues just like I was taking off my shirt. This piece feels very personal. I touch of subjects like depression and things getting out of control through the idea of breathlessness (this concept of restriction, choking and disorientation accentuated by the 'shirt') - the dark background looming in and trying to suck the light. The red lines (or shirt) represent hardship taking hold like a rope, while the colours inside are vibrant with energy. Signature and date are at the back of this piece.

When I walk through the streets of London, I see invisible bridges that wizards cross, children running after pixies and men and women chatting to animals beside them. I paint many subjects and work in different styles. To add to my -sometimes wild - imagination, I am also a strong believer of Achievement and Empowerment. Heroes may be flawed, but as I read somewhere before "perfect is boring" (I can't quite remember who said it, but thank you from the bottom of my heart for that). So, you may notice in my work that I create achievement through an idea or a story, a sense of Self-Belief and Greatness.
