About The Artwork
This is a painting in the abstract expressionist style, where I take an idea and work within the Dadist practices of removing the initial form and abstracting it by moving the shapes and colors into a composition.I happen to actually be afraid of birds and my family always jokes about how they scare me so I incorporated this into my work. It happens that where I was living when this was painted I had a major problem with birds- there were several flocks of them living in the tree that I saw every time I looked outdoors and walked by golden retriever
