About The Artwork

This is the album cover to the song "My Heart is Breaking" by vocalist Destani Wolf. This beautiful song addresses Destani's desire to protect Mother Earth, especially our oceans. Here I depicted the Spirit of the Seas as a woman holding a sea bird emerging from an oil spill.

I'm a Brazilian artist living in Los Angeles. I have a crazy passion for making art. My intent is to create art that is fun, beautiful and uplifting. In my work, I tend to intertwine the vibrancy of my Brazilian heritage, spiritual themes, and pop culture. I’ve been a meditator for 7 years. It was within a couple of months of starting to mediate that I felt an impulse to begin drawing and painting. Everything I learned and created in my art career has been a direct result of my spiritual practice. I didn’t even know I could draw until I started meditating and followed my impulse to grab a charcoal pencil and paper. Now, I often see a complete painting in my mind’s eye while meditating. From that point on, all I have to do is sit in front of the canvas and execute.
