Sunset/Relief/Don't Pay the Weather any Mind Painting

This is one of a few paintings I made this summer about living in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is frequently very humid and hot here in the southern end of the mid atlantic region. I also wanted to make an artwork about the transition of light and how the sky changes, and how this change may effect the view of reality. As the blue sky morphs into a myriad of colors finally settling into violets and indigos of the night sky and the vast space in which we live in is finally revealed something changes in me. The paper I use is 300 lb. artist quality paper with a slight texture. The paint is artist grade and lightfast.
