About The Artwork
This original, mixed media, semi abstract, collage style painting was inspired by the Scottish countryside in Summer. I wanted to depict a soft and warm Summer's day so choose pink tissue paper to create the sky. I then layered fragments of torn papers to create the landscape. These papers had been prepared beforehand by the application of acrylic paint, inks and crayons in a random manner. When assembled and glued to the canvas, more paint, inks and crayon were applied to complete the composition. My aim was to create a happy and uplifting work full of texture and details to delight a viewer. The work has a protective, glossy finish and is framed without glass in a white box frame. Ready to hang and supplied with cord and D rings attached on the back. Sizes stated include frame.
