About The Artwork
Poetry and mythology drives this body of work. The experience of witnessing my sons navigate through life as youth into young adulthood also inspires. The drafts of this painting came from sketches of my sons, whom I have visually documented with pen and ink throughout their entire childhood. My body of work is at its simplest, an expression of the human spirit. Watercolor, by its very nature is light and luminous.
