About The Artwork

This painting is a continuation of the "Salt of the Earth" series. She tells the viewer that animals lived next to a person at all times, were his friends, assistants and, of course, food. Such a "symbiosis" is quite possible with reasonable use and moderate consumption. Man and animal can perfectly coexist together, as it was for centuries, before man passed in his "development" into the stage of frantic production and consumption. Quite peaceful, almost idealistic picture. Noon, the shepherd is in the pasture and for him it's not just a flock of sheep. These are his friends, his family and his wealth.

I paint because for me it's a kind of meditation in which I lose track of time, designing and creating a whole new world that no one has ever seen before. Portrait is the most congenial form of art to me. It is incredibly interesting to observe people and visualize their actions and behavior, transforming them into images that can be depicted on canvas. Portraits of women are my special love. Women are ambiguous, mysterious, magic lurks in them. It's a bottomless world, like the rabbit hole Alice fell into. My paintings are not about female beauty, they are about her inner world, which is inhabited not only by angels but also by demons Sometimes I paint landscapes and flowers It turns out easily. Probably, painting them, I just relax :-).
