About The Artwork
It is intended to merge abstract with realism by means of the close up image. The magnificence of the elephant is demeaned by its reduction to trophys, medicines and art materials. Extinction comes ever closer as human greed expand. Whilst the collision between the elephant and humans is an ancient one, a never before seen scale of destruction of wildlife threatens animals throughout the globe. The close up of the eye aims to enduce empathy.
