The Harbor of Luneburg Painting

I am Arthur Koopmans, a watercolor painter born and raised in the green heartland of Holland. My paintings reflect the landscape and moods of the places that I am deeply familiar with. The best inspiration comes when I see a subject or a certain light condition that suddenly grabs my attention. Some subjects simply want to be painted. I would describe the style of my paintings as uniting the looseness and light of impressionism, and the eye for detail and delicacy of realism.
