The Last Row is primarily about patience, contemplation, and the Midwest work ethic. Wether you are mowing the grass, painting a house or harvesting the field your mind tends to wonder because of the repetitive task at hand. You think about the past, the future and life in general. And in the end, when there is that last bit of work to do you feel a since of finality and accomplishment. The painting is inspired by a photograph I took while taking a walk with my dog Noah next to a field of hay being harvested.

Jeff Nabors is a seasoned creative director, designer, and artist. He is a graduate of Ohio University earning a bachelor's degree in fine art. Jeff has spent the last 35 years leading teams in the development of award-winning designs for fortune 500 companies. During this time he has also followed his passion for creating fine art. Throughout his academic and professional career, Jeff has explored his art through a variety of media; printmaking, ceramics, drawing, digital photography, and painting, with painting being his first choice of personal expression. Jeff's work has evolved from his passion for good design, his love of nature, and his belief that successful artwork must ultimately connect with the viewer on an emotional level. Jeff believes in art that is tangible, tactile, bold, and kinetic. His contemporary expressionist style, which includes landscape narratives, is informed by historical turn-of-the-century art movements such as post-impressionism, pointillism, and Fauvism. His paintings consist of generous amounts of paint applied to the canvas in short expressive strokes creating a sculpted-like feel highly activated with bright contrasting color that adds depth and richness to the image. Jeff has participated in several regional exhibitions, been an invited artist at the Cincinnati Art Museum and has been represented by Saatchi Art in their Fall catalog and Impressionism collection. Jeff’s paintings are included in many private collections around the US, Canada, and England. Currently he works out of his personal studio/gallery in St. Petersburg Florida where he regularly shares his work.
