Through the exploration of spontaneous subconscious image appearances, the memories that are transformed in the dream state are examined through painting. Some memories and experiences are often not processed at the time of their occurrence and as we age our our brains reevaluate their meaning. In this painting, I explore images that come to me when sitting still. It was important to use the female figure to illustrate the one who is experiencing the transformation of real-life experiences into the exaggeration or overblown states of the mind.
