About The Artwork

After listening to Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, this painting continued to change. When I thought it was complete, I saw a new scene. I will title the work later. It is to bring out my inner thighs as honestly as possible. A predetermined title cannot be properly reflected in my work process. My favorite movies and books are usually about a human being on the dark side looking for opportunities. I think that the universe we live in right now is on a stable orbit due to a number of amazing coincidences, and humans seem to be creatures that have to keep moving and rushing for something that is the most stable on this most unstable orbit. The conclusion that we will meet with tragedy like other species that will one day experience extinction seems non-existent, and happiness seems to be torn apart like an egg yolk. That's why I like Stravinsky's Rite of Spring coolly. That coolness and expression frees me of something that is suppressed in me. We are very fortunate to have a lot of air and sunlight still alive. In this painting, I think that the connection of my own emotions, which I drew with such thoughts, was accumulated over a long time and the light was revealed, and the layers of paint shown through the accumulation of time are sufficient to convey the sublimity.

" Colors produce the most beautiful when I most honestly reveal emotions. " I am a painter based in Seoul. The structural observation of Mother Nature through curves and primal forces is a visual element connected to musical composition techniques. I was strongly attracted to musical composition techniques, especially serialism, and at the point when I tried to use the musical forms of Messiaen and Schinberg in paintings, the perspective of representation in my paintings from looking at real objects had already changed significantly. My view of art is completely connected to Greek and Roman art and oriental calligraphy, blank space aesthetic conditions. Henri Matisse(1869-1954) still plays a guiding role in my paintings. decoration is pursued within two-dimensional synthesis. This is because I am a person who pursues purity in life. That is when I am happiest. The ultimate reason for drawing is to think deeply about how and to what extent I should act within the triangle of human will and freedom.
