I am a figurative artist whose work centers on the complexities of human connection, with a particular emphasis on the feminine image. Through oil and acrylic painting, I explore the subtle dynamics of communication — the unspoken language, the pauses, the glances, the gestures that speak louder than words. I was born and raised in a small Lithuanian town. My first encounter with painting came when I discovered my father’s old watercolor set — a moment that felt magical then and still feels magical today. I graduated from Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas and the Vilnius Academy of Arts with a degree in Art Critic, History and Theory. Since 2006, I have been actively involved in the art world, participating in exhibitions, writing about art, and organizing plein air sessions and creative workshops. Over time, my focus shifted from writing about art to creating it – immersing myself in the tactile, intimate process of bringing a painting to life. After moving to London, I began to concentrate on portraiture and figurative art. I paint contemplative figures whose gestures and expressions hint at the complexity of human relationships. Through muted palettes, soft transitions of color, and simplified forms, I strive to create a quiet, meditative atmosphere — one that feels timeless and suspended between reality and imagination. Rather than offering complete narratives, my paintings invite viewers into moments of pause — spaces where empathy, tension, and silence coexist. Ultimately, my practice investigates the visual language of human connection — how composition, gesture, and spatial tension can articulate what remains unspoken. By reducing detail and emphasizing form, color harmony, and rhythm, I aim to construct spaces where viewers can engage not only with the figure depicted, but also with their own emotional responses.
