'Told you not to eat me' Poisoned apple gave a proper warning, didn't it? 'Three colours+' #05. Acrylic on canvas. This acrylic painting, created using black, gold, and white, captures the essence of my inner world and philosophy. It's a representation of fragments, scattered and jumbled, of experiences gathered over a lifetime—twisting, turning, piling up, breaking apart—gradually forming intricate and unique colours and shapes. I hope to continue this series, capturing and blending these elements into my art. Receiving feedback on the painting is always enjoyable, as it seems that the impressions and interpretations vary greatly from person to person (and even from day to day for the same individual).

Yoshie, a self-taught visual artist, illustrator, and pattern designer from northeast Japan, shifted from studying veterinary to fashion design before establishing herself as an illustrator and collage artist in Tokyo in 2006. Her diverse portfolio spans several published picture books, advertisements, textile and wallpaper patterns, and various collaborations, including with the design duo 'Sas and Yosh'. Inspired by shapes found in nature, she explores her life's philosophy through colours and patterns in artworks. Based in Hertfordshire, UK for over 12 years, Yoshie also runs a dog walking business that continues to inspire her bespoke pet portrait works. Her journey is a fusion of creativity, laughter, and connection with other souls, and ongoing.
