ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is one of the first paintings in a new and larger studio space. I look at it as transitional, wanting to move on from the preceeding, smaller scaled and "nature mort" inspired works. Here, I am moving back into a kind of landscape and experimenting with a freer bruhwork. Black is back in the picture. It is also the beginning of a slower process, layer on layer and letting it rest in between. Oil paint on stretched canvas, varnished (glossy).

I was born and raised in Sweden, and I've been living and painting in Spain for many years now. My painting is process driven and inspired by natural phenomena such as weather processes, the interplay between light and movement in the tree crowns and on the surface of the sea. Current obsessions include patterns, vibrations, colour... My work is abstract, and I think of it as an organic process. There is no previous plan. I do try to keep a sense of a moving whole, offering a somewhat unstable but hopefully vibrant picture to the viewer, as a point of observation and reflection.
