About The Artwork

Daily dose of news about the pandemic and number of lives lost due to it has been playing a havoc in my mind. With so much scientific news about how one can take care and also prevent others from being infected by this deadly virus, many are following a ONE EYED KING who does not see the dangers of this virus. This has caused widespread of this virus which also followed by thousands of lives lost. During these tough times the world needs a LEADER who has a head which is good for the people and for the country as a whole. A leader who puts the importance of lives of others before self indulgence to seek power. Through this art I want to send a message, that not to be foolish and follow a blind leader. Through this visual process I hope to send a message to one and all the importance of examining one self and knowing what is best for oneself.

I was born just a year before my country got its independence - in 1946 in India. As I grew, so did my country. I have seen it rise from a dusty, sleepy country to a major player in the world market. I also spent more than a decade as a radio officer in the merchant navy and had the opportunity to travel the world.

All this has shaped my view of the world and I feel I am better for it. My paintings incorporate the diversity I have experienced during my life.

Adventurer, teacher, landscapist...or all of these?

As an artist I have no formal training and am entirely self taught. I do not adopt a single style of art. My work reflects touches of abstract, nature studies, charcoal sketches, still life, pointillism, impressionism and some spiritual overtones.

My prime motivation is to share and evoke creativity in everyone, especially children.
