About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by friends ecstatic, exuberance, from her visit to the holy land, Israel, Jerusalem. Particularly her photos from her visit to the Sea of Galilee. Although her photo shots were dull and amateur, I wanted to reflect her love for her God, her thrill in the experience. I painted this reflective scene of the Sea of Galilee, and named the piece, Walked on Water, reflecting the experience of Jesus, and the apostles, at this very place. The painting is created, in ink mediums, alcohol inks, acrylic inks. The inks act very much like bright watercolors. They develope brilliance, and texture that is a fantastic quality of this medium. I love to paint loosely but with an impression of items or scenes within the color. The colors are bold, bright, intense, as was my friends experience in her once in a life time trip. This painting is mounted on a 2" panel board that has a light natural stain, causing a slight gray tent. The surface is buffed with a light waxing after uv spray protected. The painting is ready to hang. Because the paper is synthetic, there is a tendency for the paper to lift slightly. As a smooth handmade creation, the painting scans exceptionally well, for specific print size needs.
