About The Artwork

The circles are perfect to represent those things that never end, so the artist uses them as a way to immortalize feminine beauty again. An actress from the Victorian era who, thanks to her beauty, was photographed multiple times, this time wearing a crown of leaves and showing her perfect profile and delicate features. Uniting the seriousness and darkness of the background together with the innocence and light that emanates from a young and resplendent woman.

Verónica Chacón was born in Valencia, Venezuela in 1997. She studied and was an assistant teacher at the “Giovanni Baptista Scalabrini” art academy (Venezuela) since 2015 to 2019. Later, she studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina with the artist Ricardo Celma. Constantly developing her vision and pictorial technics. She started her career studying and painting the Italian masters. Now she is committed to apply these knowledges in every industry. Also, and consequentially, she remains in love with oil medium as main element of her work. She has the determination to merge classical beauty with contemporary elements. Her paints reveal the use of colorful backgrounds accompanying symbolism and conceptual elements in the framework of historical realities and figures. Verónica Chacón is a figurative painter who brings reiteration of esthetical ideas considering ancient motifs and new paradigms. She believes that every portrait holds a mystery. Also, by studying and painting the roman emperors and Greek gods’ sculptures, she plays with the hardness of the materials (mainly marble and bronze) and with the softness of the expressions, using the eyes as a way to bring them back to life. Currently Veronica is working in her new collections and expanding her studies of human anatomy and portraiture online.
