About The Artwork
I am lead by color. Contrasting colors like magenta and yellow excite me. But many other colors have gone into this work, now mostly obscured, as if there is a past history to this work, which I didn't mean to happen. The viewer can draw his own conclusions. I am inspired by Jackson Pollock, Rauschenberg, Johns. An acrylic work can be quickly made, because of the fast drying time, and as thought leads. Improvisation becomes the means of making the marks, which are an end in themselves.
