eliot #345 Painting

Born and raised in Iowa, I have been making art since the age of four. My work is based upon the people that I love (portraits of my family) and my emotions surrounding events in my life. My goal is to make art that makes a viewer of the art take a second look, and see beauty in the forms that I create on canvas....when I paint a portrait of someone, I want people to see the lines and forms created by god, not necessarily what the viewer originally sees when they look at that person with their own eyes. When I paint a portrait, all the shapes, shadows, lines show the grand design and how God made us all beautifully striking and balanced.
