About The Artwork
Living in the south Florida area, this was a natural subject to re-create. My attempts at underwater photography were not adequate, but definitely enough to capture and create the image that was in my mind. It is common, of course, to see an entire figure, but I thought why not just the legs? Why not paint those legs submerged in the darkest of waters and create some movement with the bubbles, but with my figurative coloration. The legs are non-gender specific and there is a hint of beautiful color to lighten the mood at the very top. This painting is finished with a hi gloss varnish for protection and a contemporary and fluid effect.
