36" x 36" oil painting on cradled wood panel (a panel that's been mounted to a wood frame 1 3/4" wide) Piece is framed with simple wood lattice with natural finish The image is a radially symmetrical mandala form of repeating circles of varying colors. The resulting "space" achieved by the color relationships recalls the experience of looking up and into a domed ceiling. The painting is inspired by renaissance era Italian dome interiors.
