This painting was originally started in 1995, the viral , invasive like plant forms where added in 2017 replacing a different less satisfying motif. The latter plant forms are applied by drawing with a pastel oil stick which contains a percentage of Wax. I then flatten the oiled wax substance as to even out the coverage. After I cut back into the edges with a pocket knife which leaves a finer trace and smaller traces of paint that enrich the relationship between trace and background. The illustrated trace becomes more lively and nuanced.

We adopted two boys and I continued with my thematic research concerning the contents of my paintings, almost always trying to find a pictorial language to express different concepts I became familiar with trough my readings. My printmaking subjects are much autobiographical.
