About The Artwork
This is my neighbor’s daughter breaking her high school swim record. I incorporated actual puzzle pieces into the work to represent the water. I hope my viewer feels they are about to get wet! This was a lot of fun to paint. It has a gloss varnish, painted edges and it’s ready to hang.

I am originally from Pella, Iowa and now live and work in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I have a large studio space at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, Nebraska. I am represented by the Artists’s Cooperative Gallery in Omaha’s downtown Old Market district. I enjoy a variety of mediums and techniques and experiment often. A common theme in my work is color and texture. I periodically incorporate actual puzzle pieces into my work to tickle my viewer’s eye.
