About The Artwork
The work is a diasec glossy print, including hanging hardware at the back of the frame. Including a certificate of authenticity. The images is taken with a analogue camera using double exposure and intentional camera movement. The rawness of the film combined with the colours of nature, light and movement give an impression of the momentum. By reversing the image new shapes arise, and the landscape becomes an abstract reality. Landscapes form the base of my work. Depending on the circumstances I work with a digital or analogue camera and use different (in-camera) techniques such as double exposure and intentional camera movement. Looking for a complex simplicity, with layers, depth, and disturbance. By reversing and stacking images, I create new realities. An interplay between the natural environment and its graphic interpretation.

Dutch | 1975 Miriam started her career in 1998 as a graphic designer, and the past 25 years she has worked on different type of projects from logo and book design to film. After the production of an indie documentary, she started experimenting with photography, and other techniques and materials. Nature as the source of inspiration, her work a graphic interpretation. She is based in the Netherlands and France, where she has a studio. WORK: Landscapes form the base of my work. Depending on the circumstances I work with a digital or analogue camera and use different (in-camera) techniques such as double exposure and intentional camera movement. Creating a visual interplay between the natural environment and its graphic interpretation. By using different printing techniques and materials I try to create an abstract impression of a natural landscape with layers, depth, and disturbance.
