About The Artwork

Silver gelatin photograph. Limited edition of 20. Signed and numbered. Marked by a philosophical, analytical, and serial approach, my photographs focus on the natural- natural elements of earth, air and water- its beauty and impermanence. Sky and water bisected by the constant line of the horizon, at times distinct, others muted and barely there. Floating clouds reflecting the transcience of time. Seeing the elements with introspective reflection. Seeing nature in unordinary ways. Capturing beautiful moments in time. The subjects remain the same, yet every image, every moment is beautifully different, a poetic metaphor for life itself. Shot with a Hasselblad camera, primarily in black and white, for its timeless, dramatic yet minimalistic qualities, with inspiration from Hiroshi Sugimoto, Vija Celmins, Gerhard Richter, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly and John Constable’s cloud studies, the images pay homage to the power and beauty of nature. In the words of Marcus Aurelius, “dwell on the beauty of nature.” Please allow 30 days for delivery. Works are printed upon order.
