"Imprinted Shadows" Photograph - Limited Edition of 5

Fifty years of black and white have taught me one thing: shadow says more than light.

Born in Ferrara, Italy, in 1962, I have photographed in black and white since I was fourteen. I am entirely self-taught, and I consider it my greatest freedom: no rules to follow, no style to imitate, only an instinct for the way light, shadow and geometry speak to one another.
Since 2021 I have been part of Transfigurative Photography (Fotografia Transfigurativa), the movement founded by Carlo Riggi, which sees photography not as documentation but as a poetic, introspective act. For me, the camera is a bridge between the world outside and the one within. Through composition and intent, a landscape or a building becomes something quieter and more suspended, a place that exists between what I see and what I feel.

My work has been published in the FT – Transfigurative Photography anthologies (EBS Print, 2021 and 2023) and in the collective volume Città sospese (EBS Print, 2024). It has been shown in Turin, Milan, Rome and Palermo, and in Locarno, Switzerland. The Città sospese project alone has travelled to six venues across Italy and Switzerland.

Each limited edition print is signed and numbered by me and shipped with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. I hope my images invite you to slow down and find your own meaning in them.
