In 2009, I asked a ballerina I met in Copenhagen to pose at night in Copenhagen's city center (Denmark). I make a reference to the famous fairy tales of danish Hans Christian Andersen, being in their spirit without corresponding to one precise tale. This work continues my passion for staging models at night, during the oniric hours triggering people's subconscious visions during their sleep. I liked to stage the little ballerina in the actual city transfigured by the obscurity and the city lights in a charming and pittoresque district of the historic center of Copenhagen. The art work is mounted on dibond and equipped with a double aluminium bars hanging system on the back. Limited edition of 20. Price mentioned in the image doesn't include postage.
