ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Strolling along Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro is inspiring. It was during a sunny afternoon that I made this photograph, which shows a stunning landscape, admired by people from all over the world, who dream of knowing this city or that does not leave the memory of those who have already been there.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
