One of a series of photos and videos taken in a mall in Freiburg. The mall; the place where contemporary life reveals itself. People shopping, eating, resting, hiding out, exploring, coming and going. Calling it life. The dispossessed. The upright. The working. The frivolous young. The tired, overloaded parents. The crying babies. The vacant. The cooing couples. The people just going about their daily affairs without reflection, without seeing. Each involved in his own needs. Each a universe unto himself. Intertwined, superimposed, but unconnected. The studied insignificance and anonymity of modern life. The temporal fleeting nature of existence. How much of a mark do we each leave? The multidimensional universe revealed by the mirroring and transparent glass. The specific a manifestation of the abstract. Shadows passing by, the body de-materialized as if just a chimera, an insubstantial ethereal presence that only appears for a moment and then is gone. Some blocked, some only appearing when another passes it, some that exist at the same time. Some creating new life forms when superimposed on one another. Like life. Like the human condition. “Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more.” .” The pulse that reveals the underlying structure of the energy of life. The sacred geometry. The golden ratio. That begins with infinity and ends with infinity. That shows that there is no material world, just different levels of materialized energy, which exists only to reveal the sacred geometry. It is an illusion. A hologram. A visual mathematical equation. The life force expressing itself. The infinite multitudinous expression of the force of life. The past, present and future all appearing simultaneously. The mind as a reflection of the multidimensional universe. The mechanical moving staircase like the mechanical beat of time as it carries people from place to place. With angled jagged edges like the bony plates on a dinosaur’s back. The ancient forms of life that we are built on top of and carried by. The only moving constant in this ever-changing picture. Always rising, carrying people across the stage of life for their brief 15 minutes of fame and to oblivion. And back.

Born in New York into a family of professional artists, musicians and performers, creative endeavours have always been a part of my life. Piano and ballet at age 5, drama club, arts and crafts; we did it all. After following an acting program in high school I chose to go into visual art in college, the University of Michigan, from whose School of the Arts I earned my BFA Magna cum Laude. I then went to Columbia University School of the Arts where I earned my MFA. I began exhibiting my work soon after graduation and sold many paintings, both to individuals and collectors. After a prolific and intense period of painting I returned to my earlier pursuits of music and acting. In addition to my paintings, I have produced songs and piano music and am a member of ASCAP as a composer/lyricist, performer and publisher. I am also a SAG/AFTRA actress and have appeared in film, television and theatre. Multi-faceted artist, musician, composer, lyricist, poet, actress, singer
