About The Artwork

On a Spring trip in 2018, we drove along the coastline of Morocco from Agadir to Casablanca and just north of Agadir we came across this deserted beach. It was gray weather but I was attracted by the irregular repetitivity of the beach umbrellas. The old couple were the cherry on the pie. What were they talking about? What stopped them there? The picture was taking in one shot, but upon decorating our apartment at the Belgian coast, we decided to cut the picture in three and frame them with a white passe-partout and a thin black metal frame. Perfect on a white wall.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Happily married for almost 40 years and proud father of two wonderful daughters. As a Co-CEO of a global US company, I have the opportunity to travel to many great places around the world – and my wife is able to accompany me thanks to the flexibility her university teaching job offers her. So, I have nothing to complain about – on the contrary, life is good to me and I try to be good to life and to the people around me. Because of my job, my life and travels may be a bit hectic at times, but quite often (especially when visiting new places), I take my camera with me. Finding some time off to make pictures (in the evening or early morning – although I’m not a morning person) is for me a perfect antidote to stress – it’s my way of unwinding. I’m a man without much patience, except when making pictures. With a camera in my hand I can take all my time and wait for “The Decisive Moment” (credit to Cartier-Bresson ?).
