Artist Statement For Series: I never liked gardening, never glanced at a beautiful flower or a blossoming bush -- and always took my mother's garden for granted. I grew up in San Diego, CA surrounded by beautiful succulents and cacti my whole life (besides the five years I lived in NYC). One day, I started to notice the beauty in nature, and I mean really noticed it. I started becoming obsessed with the names of plants -- their care and feeding. I developed an affinity for succulents and cacti when I realized they are drought-resistant and low maintenance. I wanted their beauty all around me. I found a few of my favorite nurseries around Los Angeles and couldn't stop visiting them. Each time I did, I'd notice a new species of plant that I had to buy for my balcony. I started taking succulents from my mom's garden too, re-rooting them, and propagating their leaves to grow new ones myself. I filled my balcony literally to its brim -- until there was barely any room to walk around these gorgeous gifts of nature. These photographs document my plant mania.

My artistry is rooted in the exploration of social, political, and cultural landscapes. My creations navigate the intricate connections between popular culture and fine art. Spanning diverse subjects like the generational trauma passed down by my four holocaust surviving grandparents, my sexuality, my physical disability, my neurodivergence, serving underrepresented populations (As an Educator at The Braille Institute for the blind and visually impaired), mental health, surreal landscapes, and photo-manipulated architecture; my work transforms mundane visual elements into conceptually layered projects that change the way we think and see the world. I studied photography and painting at Parsons School of Design in NYC and have loved both mediums ever since. Since then I have published two hardcover books, been exhibited in over 20 solo and group gallery shows around the world, have been featured in several photography magazines and online publications with international distribution, and paintings are in private and permanent gallery collections worldwide. My work has also been displayed and archived at the famous Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) museum.
