About The Artwork

A scene where man is captivated by the silence created by the snow... he wants to ''penetrate'' this silence, to listen to it... This photograph is a part of the series ''YUKI-STORIES''. Yuki means ''Snow'' in Japanese. Yuki Stories is a series of black and white snow photographs. Each image leaves the viewer to 'guess' or 'invent' their own story. The photos are minimalist visions, moments of emotion where purity and simplicity are predominant. Each image is an enchanting fairy tale that takes us back to our childhood, to the innocence... This photograph is printed on luxury Bright White Matte Hahnemühle 310g paper, with Piezo Carbon pigment print. This paper guarantees striking images, full of nuance, detail and depth. A small 2.5 cm white border surrounds the image for editing. Limited edition including its secured certificate of authenticity registered at ARTtrust with an unique reference number verifiable at any time on : https://www.arttrustonline.com

Henri ODABAS is a French fine art photographer based in a small burgundy village. Henri's artworks are an invitation to a timeless journey to surprising lands where the surreal becomes real... His photographic techniques and his painter vision give his artworks a dreamlike aspect. The images captured through his analog and digital cameras become multi-faceted paintings, combining unexpected and surprising objects, decors, lights, colors, to build representations that open the Spirit to another dimensions of Vision. ''Photography becomes more interesting, when it stops being a reproduction of ''reality'' and shows us things differently. Every photography is a kind of construction... the transition from reality to representation... I am always fascinated by the Beauty of Nature, minerals, plants and animals, a lot by the light...... especially by simple things, because, it is in the smallest that the Greater is reflected '' Henri ODABAS BIOGRAPHY : He spent his adolescence in Switzerland, a so beautiful country. At the age of 12 that he received his first camera (ZEISS-IKON) and one of his neighbors, a professional photographer taught him the basics of setting up a camera. From an early age he showed particular aptitude for drawing and painting. Often, in elementary school and high school, his paintings were hung on the panels by his teachers.... In 1996, he trained with Patrick BETAUDIER (1928-2008) at Neo Medici painting workshop in Monflanquin (FR) where he discovered a special technique of painting : creating a radiating light which magnetizes the sight. His artistic project is combining photography as an art with a painter vision. His photographic images are often layered and juxtaposed to give an impression of surreal, magic and sometimes contemplative scenes, then the unreal becomes ''real'' ! He is working with digital and analog photography and expands constantly his practice by using different technics (*) (*) Long exposure, multi exposure, ICM, infrared…
