About The Artwork
The fundamental characteristic of the lithography technique is the use of a stone with very particular characteristics. The white marble is a perfect substitute for traditional German stone. In 2012 I decided to leave Mexico City and move to Oaxaca to live new experiences and renew my soul. Near of the end of my stay, I found a small workshop where I could continue exploring the engraving technique. There I had the opportunity to work lithography on marble and explore the results that this beautiful stone offers. This piece is one of the result of my first experience drawing on Mexican white marble in the Oaxaca City, where I also found a huge insect fauna.
