For millennia, we’ve wondered about the mysterious nature of the human mind: its inner works and outward manifestations; its influence and impact on every aspect of our world. This painting points to the “heart of the brain” in which our thoughts & feelings, intuitions & insights, ideas & theories about what the mind may be, are forming and revealing this unsolved mystery. An image of the conceptual Klein bottle appears: this topological object shows ‘a single-sided bottle with no boundary. Its inside is its outside. It contains itself,’ as the inventor Felix Kelin described it in 1882. Like the Mobius Loop, this bottle remains a universal symbol of infinity. Here I'm suggesting that no matter how many ways there are to picture and describe our phenomenal minds, the subject is bigger than any definitive description. This “metaphorm” (which combines various forms of connection-making, such as metaphor, analogy, signs, stories) sums up the evolving History of Thought on matters of mind. Ultimately, “there is in us something wiser than our head,” to quote the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. I’m just not sure anyone knows what that something is. I make art to spark curiosity and inspire innovative thinking through creative, self-learning experiences that are relevant to all people, cultures, and ways of discovering the world within and around us.

My art explores the nature of creativity. It interprets how the human minds' creations are connected to everything in nature. As a “Cerebralist,” I combine the sensual & spiritual, the physical & conceptual, incorporating abstract and representational forms with my metaphorical imagery. I love experimenting with all kinds of mediums and means of art-making. My artistic influences include everything from Prehistoric Art to Postmodern Art, which are all part of the interrelated histories of Art-Science-Technology. When you experience my artworks, I do hope you feel the same sense of delight-n-wonder that I feel while creating (drawings, prints, paintings and sculptures) with full curiosity and imagination. Hopefully, it inspires you to always experience the unity of nature!
