About The Artwork

Pretty Things*: Fizzy Pop Art Series: Gallery Edition of 25 Also available as 'Open Editions' (unsigned) in various sizes via Saatchi - click on the 'Print' button for more options. Continuing my experimentation with new media and digital painting. The artwork is painted with a digital brush which can achieve effects impossible by traditional means. This particular artwork uses a brush 'loaded' with paint spots where the parameters (chosen by the artist) are altered to create different splatter effects. All the spots are perfectly symmetrical but are painted in such a way as to give the impression of depth or perspective. As with many of the artworks in this series, I enjoy pushing the boundaries between figurative and abstract art. I have a used a slightly different technique with this artwork with a looser, yet simpler end result set against a soft canvas textured background. The result is essentially a fine detailed, pop art composition at various stages of abstraction - this technique works well with this medium. • Type: Fine-Art Print • Medium: Giclée • Materials: 100% Cotton Fine Art Paper • Paper Type: Hahnemühle German Etching • Paper Size: 33.1" x 23.4" • Edition Size: Gallery Edition of 25 • Image: approx 80% of paper size • This artwork is sold unframed • Hand-signed by the artist (in pencil)** • Includes Certificate of Authenticity Artwork will be shipped rolled in secure tube. This particular piece is part of the ongoing 'Fizzy Pop' series. #2020 Vision NB: This is the Large A Sized Gallery Edition - 33x23 inches (approx 84x59cms) - with the image approx 80% of the overall paper size. Please contact via Saatchi if you have any further questions regards alternative sized editions and formats. The artwork is sold ready to frame. *Bowie references the 'Coming Race' in his song 'Oh You Pretty Things': "Look at your children See their faces in golden rays Don't kid yourself they belong to you They're the start of the Coming Race" 'The Coming Race' is a novel by Edward Bulwer-Lytton, published anonymously in 1871. It has also been published as Vril, the Power of the Coming Race. Some readers have believed the account of a superior subterranean master race and the energy-form called "Vril" The book was quite popular in the late 19th century, and for a time the word "Vril" came to be associated with "life-giving elixirs". The best known use of "Vril" in this context is in the name of Bovril (a blend word of Bovine and Vril). It also had a strong influence on other authors back then. When H. G. Wells' story The Time Machine was published in 1895, The Guardian wrote in its review: "The influence of the author of The Coming Race is still powerful, and no year passes without the appearance of stories which describe the manners and customs of peoples in imaginary worlds, sometimes in the stars above, sometimes in the heart of unknown continents in Australia or at the Pole, and sometimes below the waters under the earth. Conspiracy Theorists believe that Underground Reptilian Vril Lizards can inject their quill/proboscis into the human eye in a droning process known as "body snatching" where the lizard parasite then takes over the human brain and abandons it's reptile body. This droning process is also an Illuminati ritual, symbolic of the all-seeing eye, also known as "soul scalping" and many elites have been caught over time with excuses to defend these bruises around one of their eyes known as "The Black Eye Club." The Club includes Hollywood actors, Politicians, Social Media Giants, Royalty and even the Pope. **Artist Czar Catstick, Signed as StewartHR: Working as The Emperor's New Clothes Collective including Czar Catstick, Jack Smith, Hertz Van Wental, Pavlov Bellwether and Baxter Cane.
