This is a portrait of a good friend. The likeness was achieved via multiple reference photos and videos. I wanted to portray her inner passion for performing arts and healing retreats. The glass she "steps through" represents the duality of her time shared between a solid and successful career path and ethereal inner calling. While always a joyful girl, her soul truly shines during the ecstatic dance with which she graces and heals. I used many layers of various materials. The glass shards and acrylic paints are incorporated into the background layer along with splashes of non-yellowing Art Resin. The main figure is made of epoxy clay and painted with artist oils. The base is made of foam covered with fiberglass and mounted onto a wooden plank. This is a one of a kind sculpture which cannot be copied, however I accept commissions and would be happy to create something similar just for you! See this one and other works at:

I'm a Ukrainian girl who came to the US and found passion for arts. I use mixed media to create framed sculptures and finish them with oils. I have worked out my own technique using regular materials from home improvement stores. My pieces reflect my own emotional journey and some social issues I care about. Hopefully others might find them interesting and perhaps even helpful.
