Product Characteristics: A base framework of wrapped paper inside the product, aluminum foil- in the middle- are used for modeling the required shape and in particular for detailed work. The main constituent of mushroom is Wood Mache - a mass of wood powder which is imposed layer by layer (3-4 layers as a whole). It takes few days for each one to dry naturally. It is utterly important not to speed up the drying process as this may result cracks. Then the product is primed, sanded and polished. Thin top layer has all the wood properties and can be personalized with different types of paints, varnishes and glazes. The professional artist paints on the end ware taking into account what I propose. Therefore NO napkin technique/decoupage is used. Afterwards finished mushroom is covered with several layers of vitreous lacquer.

Ukraine
My name is Olena. I live in Kyiv, Ukraine. Most of all I love my chinchillas and music. I also love my job. I'm a doctor, a gynecologist. I make mushrooms and draw pictures on them for two reasons. First of all, mushrooms are the perfect creation of nature from aesthetic point of view, as well as from biological one. Secondly, for several years my mother dreamed to grow amanitas in our garden near the house, under the fur trees. And it never happened. They wanted to grow only in the forest. So I started making artificial mushrooms. I paint them as natural. But I also like fairy tales very much. I always felt sorry for the undeservedly forgotten illustrations for fairy tales. I find painters who draw pictures from old books on my mushrooms. And now I have my favorite mushrooms with beloved plots. For each new season or holiday I have a mushroom that creates mood and maintains the atmosphere, because it can be held in hand, explored, and contemplated. Can be put in the place where you most often are.
