Mir*acle Sculpture

Mir*acle - An extraordinary and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore attributed to a divine agency. Inspired by a dream: An image of a lady in a long dark stylist coat, wearing these very original 'horse' shoes! The Making of a Mir*acle - I designed and sculpted the shoe from scratch, purchased 'a last', cast a metal mould of the heel sculpture in a foundry, sourced materials and customised print block for a shoe maker to add leather detail and logos. In 2010 I received a letter from the Intellectual Property Office, Director of Trade Marks/ Designs requesting permission for the design to be used to depict designs registered at the office, to the WIPO, OHIM and other international orgs to raise awareness of the role of the Design Registry. Horse's symbolise Power, Grace, Beauty, Nobility, Strength and Freedom, holding a special place in the mythologies of cultures around the world. Symbolism of black horses remains a captivating blend of triumph, spirituality, transformation, and the quest for liberation. History of High Heels - European nobility developed heels in the 1500s primarily as a means to help keep their feet in the stirrups! The wearing of heels by men quickly became the fashion norm, primarily in the courts, spawning the term 'well-heeled' as a reference to those that could afford costlier shoes. Catherine de' Medici was the first officially recorded lady in heels, worn at her wedding in Florence. A One of a Kind black sculpture, packaged in a luxury shoe box. Comes with artist signed certificate of authenticity. Limited edition of prints are also available. The prints and sculpture have never been displayed up until now (February 2024).
