Olga Donets is a ceramic artist working with stoneware and porcelain. She studied graphic design and cultural studies in Russia. Before fully focusing on her own practice, she spent several years teaching art including painting, clay modeling, and art history, working with both children and adults. After moving to Istanbul, she left teaching behind and began to explore wheel-thrown and sculptural ceramics more deeply. The artist is drawn to natural forms, quiet surfaces, and shapes that leave space for imagination. Clay is never fully predictable, and she enjoys that, every piece develops its own character during the process. Olga builds her work slowly by hand, often in several stages, letting the material guide the final form. Each piece is made as a one of a kind object rather than a repeatable design.
