About The Artwork
The work was created as part of the master's thesis. Fascinated by the sincerity of ancient art and the "incompleteness" of wabi-sabi aesthetics, I created a series of ceramic figures and their plaster negatives to tell the story of a man who, by collecting his life experiences, becomes a vessel for their interpretation. "Shell" speaks about portrait, that have never been seen. As part of plaster mould, it shapes are defied by utility, but becoming a piece, got smoother, like stone shaped through ages by the water. Patina brought by difficult conditions allows to find a story, in originally, white plaster tool.
